World Seniors Championship Preview 2023
The World Seniors Darts Tour is set to return to TV Screens in 2023 and Target will be there every step of the way.
After a successful maiden season in 2022, the over 50’s darts tour returns to the iconic Circus Tavern on the 9-12th February with the JenningsBet World Seniors Darts Championship.
32 players will compete for the title in the 4-day tournament, broadcast via BT Sport or BBC Digital services in the UK, with Scotsman Robert Thornton the man to beat as defending champion.
Target will be front and centre on the stage as the Aspar remains the dartboard of choice for the World Seniors Darts Tour throughout 2023. The high-performance board features an upgraded numbers ring and enhanced colourings in a completely modern approach to dartboard functionality. The Aspar made it’s TV debut at the Circus Tavern last year at the inaugural World Seniors Darts Championship.

On the oche, Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor will lead the way for Target as the 16-time World Champion attempts to win his first World Seniors title. Taylor reached the final of the Seniors Masters and Matchplay last year, and after a winter break is raring to go in Purfleet.
Glen Durrant is ready for a new challenge in his career as a new addition to the World Seniors Darts Tour. ‘Duzza’ formerly won the BDO World Championship three times and the PDC Premier League and will be looking to make an instant impact by claiming Seniors Silverware in 2023.
The Silverback, Tony O’Shea has also once again received an invitation to play. A firm crowd favourite, Tony rolled back the years to go deep at the World Seniors Masters, held at the Iconic Lakeside last year, and will fully believe he can win the title in Purfleet this time out.
The 32 Player filed consists of 16 seeded players, with a further 16 players being drawn against the seeds. The draw took place live on World Seniors Darts Tour Social Media channels following the final qualifying event on Sunday 29th January at the Crucible sports club in Reading.
