Luke Littler AKA ‘The Nuke’ was born in Warrington, first picking up a dart at the age of 18 months old and, aged just 8, he joined St Helens Youth Academy.
He holds an impressive CV for a young man of his age and there certainly seems to be no stopping him. Luke plays in the JDC and has eleven ‘Advanced Tour’ wins and is also the 2022 Super 16 champion where he beat fellow Elite 1 player Eleanor Cairns in the final.
‘The Nuke’ also has international honours, representing England’s A team and threw a 9-darter in the MVG Masters in Gibraltar. Luke also represented his country in the WDF British Internationals in both the youth and senior squads, The 6 Nations and The Youth Europe Cup.
In 2021, Luke started to make his presence felt by winning numerous WDF Youth titles – England Open, British Classic, Welsh Classic and the Irish Classic, a win that gave him his Golden ticket to play in the WDF World Championships in 2022 where he reached the last 16 and only being defeated to a record breaking average from his opponent. He has since defended his England Open and Welsh Classic titles in 2022.
In 2022, Luke was crowned the JDC Youth World Champion on stage at Alexandra Palace.
2023 continues to be the year of 'The Nuke', becoming the first MODUS Super Series Champion of Champions to defend their title and winning five JDC Advanced Tours and four PDC Development Tours wins, including a 9-Dart finish to showcase his exceptional skills.
After becoming JDC Youth World Champion, Luke released his Generation 1 darts made in collaboration with Target Darts. Available in both steel-tip and soft-tip, these darts continue to help 'The Nuke' dominate the game and we can't wait to see where they take him.
