CHRIS DOBEY
Chris Dobey fully arrived on the PDC scene at the beginning of 2023 after a tremendous showing at the World Championships where he reached the Quarter-finals. This was to be just a taste of what “Hollywood” was capable of as he then went on to clinch the PDC World Masters just a few weeks later against the World Number 1 and newly crowned World Champion.
This led to Chris being selected for the 2023 Premier League, pitting him up against 7 of the best players the game has ever seen and he more than held his own, winning the very first night of the tournament and impressing throughout the competition with his blockbuster scoring and calm under pressure finishes.
Towards the end of the year, he reached a career best Quarter-final at the World Matchplay, narrowly missing out to the eventual winner and good friend Nathan Aspinall. His successes in 2023 have meant that the man from Newcastle currently sits an impressive 19th in the Order of Merit Rankings.
