March 2025 Round-Up: Elite 1, Pathway & Academies

March has been an action-packed month for the Elite 1 players and our Target Academies, with some impressive performances across the board and some exciting news!  From major competition victories to personal milestones, here's a round-up of the standout achievements for the month.

 

Elite 1 Highlights

March was a month of success and progress for our Elite 1 players. Here’s a look at some of the standouts:

 

  • Nathan Girvan continues to make strides in his darts career, reaching the last 96 of the prestigious UK Open. A solid performance that further establishes his place among the rising stars in the darts world.
  • Mitchell Lawrie has had an exceptional month! He triumphed at the ADC Vault in Bo’ness, hit a record JDC score of 2373, and upgraded to Gold on the JDC medal system. Mitchell also claimed victories at the JDC Scotland Gibraltar qualifiers 9 & 10, and continued his dominance with wins at the SDA Grand Prix 2 and Top Flight competitions. Additionally, he reached the final of the JDC Advanced Tour 8, and secured wins at JDC Scotland Gibraltar qualifiers 11 & 12. He now looks ahead to the Scottish Masters final, where he’ll face Owen Bryceland in April.
  • Owen Bryceland made his mark by upgrading to Gold on the JDC medal system. He reached the final of JDC Scotland Gibraltar qualifier 10, though he was bested by Mitchell. Owen also reached the final of the ADC Vault in Airdrie and will face Mitchell once more in the final of the Scottish Masters next month.
  • Kaya Baysal continued his impressive form, winning an ADC Vault at the Rogues Sports Bar. He also reached the final of the WDF Isle of Man Open Boys Tournament and the SDC Vault in Nelson. Kaya finished the month with a strong performance at the David Sanderson Memorial competition.
  • Lennon reached the quarterfinals of the Stonham Barn competition and delivered a flawless 3-0 victory in his county match for the Suffolk under-18’s team.
  • Seth Steffano showed his versatility at the Shoot the Rapids tournament, reaching the semi-final of the cricket singles, the final of the 501 singles and the blind draw, and claiming victory in the doubles cricket.
  • Jenson Walker had an outstanding month, winning the mixed triples at the WDF Isle of Man Festival of Darts as part of his team. He also won a competition at the Blue Sky Tavern.
  • Eleanor Cairns reached the semi-final of the PDC Women’s Series 5, showcasing her skill and determination on the stage.
  • Arthur Allston secured a Grand Prix victory at the Sudbury Youth Darts Academy, claiming his 5th consecutive win. He also won his Suffolk under-21’s county match and was named Man of the Match.
  • James Beeton impressed by reaching the quarter-finals of the PDC Challenge Tour 10.
  • Mason Teese showed great promise by reaching the final of the JDC Advanced Tour 5.
  • Jayden Walker had an excellent run, reaching three semi-finals at the JDC Advanced Tours and clinching victory at the Southampton Super Series on 18/03/2025.
  • Joseph Westby reached the final of the ADC Vault in Pendlebury.
  • Alfie Busby delivered a stellar performance in his county youth match for Warwickshire U21’s, with a 27 average and was awarded Man of the Match.
  • Sophie McKinlay triumphed in the Forth & Endrick League Ladies Rose Bowl, further cementing her reputation in the darts community.

Pathway Players' Progress

 

Our Pathway players have been making great strides in their development, and March 2025 was no different. Here's what they’ve been up to:

 

  • Ben Proudfoot won an adult singles competition at Gorleston without dropping a leg, he also won the blind pairs. He won the blind pairs competition held at Arrowheadz. Ben won the halve-it tournament held at Stowmarket Youth Darts Development School and he won his county match for Suffolk for the under 18’s 3-0. He also won the youth competition held at the Cliff Top Inn and hit a 9 dart 301 leg. He won the youth competition held at Castaways Holiday Park.
  • Dylan Moss won a Junior Vault at Boundary Park Academy. He also won the under 18’s vault in Oldham.
  • Eoin Roche won the under 17’s competition in the Freshford District Darts League.
  • Jenson Macey won the plate competition in the Portsmouth Darts league, week 10. He reached the final of the Hill Park Darts tournament. He also reached the semi final of the HCDO super league singles.
  • Owen Howard won his county match for Suffolk u18’s
  • Mattie Ambage reached the final of an ADC Vault in Woodies Bar.

Academy News

The Luke Littler Academy is now up and running in Warrington.

 

John Oshea is opening an academy in Ireland, he has a clear vision of what he wants to achieve, we will be supporting The Joker Academy on the same terms as the The Luke Littler Academy.

 

March has been an incredible month for Elite 1 players, with an abundance of victories, record-breaking performances, and strong runs at prestigious events. The future is looking bright for these young talents, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to evolve and succeed in the months ahead. Stay tuned for more updates as we head into April!
