When and where is the PDC World Cup of Darts 2024?
The fourteenth edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts is a four-day tournament between the 27th and 30th of June to decide the top nation. Â
The competition is unique in darts with the addition of a team format whereby players represent their national team. With this in mind, the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt, Germany should be rocking with national pride on the line.
Of course, the 2024 World Cup of Darts is not the only international competition to visit Germany this summer. Football's UEFA European Championship will also be taking place too. If you’re one of the lucky sports fans visiting Germany during this time it should be an incredible atmosphere.
How are pairs selected for the PDC World Cup of Darts 2024?
The pairs for seeded nations are selected by the PDC order of merit with the top 2 players selected from each nation to represent their chosen country. Unseeded nations often use the same system to select their players although they may use a different system to select their top 2 players. These match ups can create outstanding partnerships between players who can hopefully put their competitive rivalries aside to aid their country.
Will Luke Littler be representing England for the World Cup of Darts 2024?

What are the Teams and Seedings for the World Cup of Darts 2024?
 *Due to health issues Gerwyn Price will miss the World Cup of Darts and has been replaced by Jim Williams.
There will be 40 teams in this year's World Cup of Darts. The top four teams are seeded and go straight into the second round, with the other 36 competing in a group stage of twelve groups of three, with one qualifying from each group.Â
The top four seeded nations are chosen based on combined Order of Merit rankings and go straight into the second round. The next 12 highest ranking nations (5-16) are seeded in the group stage along with another 16 unseeded teams.

What is the New Format for the World Cup of Darts 2024?
This year’s instalment of the World Cup brings about a format change. Each round in this year’s tournament will consist of a doubles match. Previous tournaments worked using singles matches, which had been the longstanding format for the competition. This revision of the format puts even more emphasis on the need for strong team work rather than individual talent.
Here is how each stage will be played out and won.
·     Group stage: Best of seven legs.Â
·     Second Round, Quarter-Final and Semi-Finals: Best of fifteen legs.Â
·     Final: Best of nineteen legsÂ
From the group stage, only 12 teams will emerge to accompany the top 4 seeded teams in the Second Round. From the second round onwards, the competition is a straight knockout format with only the best pair making it to the final.
Who from Team Target will be playing in the World Cup of Darts 2024?
Dimitri Van den Bergh – Belgium
‘The Dream Maker’ has been a mainstay in the Belgium team since 2018 and has come close to winning the whole competition with three semi-final appearances. Last year Belgium and Dimitri Van den Bergh narrowly lost 8-7 to eventual winners Wales. The Dream Maker and his partner Kim Huybrechts hope to go a step further this year and win the tournament. Â
Gabriel Clemens – Germany
Similar to Dimi, Clemens and Germany lost in the semi-finals against Scotland in 2023. With the support from his compatriots as the host nation, he will be hoping to use that energy to inspire him to an even better finish.
Keane Barry – IrelandÂ
Keane Barry will be representing Ireland for the second year in a row.
Last year was hard going for Ireland with the 9 seed failing to make it out of Group E, having lost to eventual Group E winners Croatia. Barry will be partnered by William O’Connor this year and the Irish pair will be hoping to put on a better showing than last year.Â
Danny Lauby – USAÂ
Danny Lauby will be making his return to Team USA having not been high enough for the order of merit since 2021. USA are currently ranked 15 and will be one of the seeded teams entering the tournament. Â
Jeffrey de Graaf – Sweden
Jeffrey de Graaf will be making his World Cup of Darts debut this year for Sweden and will be hoping to build on Sweden’s impressive 2023 showing where they made the quarter final. Partnered with Oskar Lukasiak the Swedes will be hoping to put on an impressive showing in late June. Â
Jeffrey de Graaf has recently signed with Target Darts and is currently using experimental darts.Â
Paul Lim – Singapore
Singapore was one of the seven teams to debut in the 2014 World Cup when the tournament field was increased from 24 to 32 teams and Paul Lim has been a mainstay of the Singapore team since 2014. Â
Lim will be hoping to go one better than his group-stage knockout last year but will be buoyed by Singapore coming through the qualifiers. Â
Harith Lim – Singapore
Like Paul Lim, Harith has represented Singapore since 2014 and the two have been partners in crime every year since. Harith will be hoping to represent Singapore with Lim with pride and possibly cause an upset in this tournament. Â

The World Cup of Darts will be shown live on Sky Sports Action in the UK.Â
Last year fans were also able to stream the entire action on NOW TV through their mobile device or tablet, but this hasn’t been confirmed for this year’s tournament yet.Â
