Team Target Player Ricky Chilton Does The Double in Budapest!
Following on from a successful weekend in St Helens, a week later, Ricky wins the Budapest Open Classic Wheelchair 2025 Championship and the Masters Wheelchair 2025 Championship. This has catapulted him up the World ParaDarts Rankings to 3rd place, an amazing feat considering 19 tournaments have been played and Ricky has only attended 6 with his return to darts half way through the season.
Ricky has now qualified for the 2025 World ParaDarts Masters and World Championship.
On Saturday at the Budapest Open Masters 2025 he was top of his group, not losing a single leg. In the Semi-finals he played a new promising player Jost Helmet from Austria and won 3:0. In the finals he played Jesper Andersen from Denmark taking the lead 3:1, then Jesper fought back to bring it to 3 all. In the decider leg Ricky took the victory wining 4:3.
At Sunday's Budapest Open Masters 2025, once again Ricky won his group not losing a single leg. In the semi-finals he beat Viragos Kis Lajos from Hungary comfortably 3:0. The final was once again against the Dane Jesper Andersen who started off strong breaking Ricky's throw in the first leg. The first 4 legs then went against throw. In the 5th leg Ricky pulled away with the help of a 171 to win the championship 4:2.
