Ricky Chilton continues his incredible run of form by clinching both World ParaDarts ranking titles over the weekend, becoming the BDDA Welsh Wheelchair Classic 2025 and BDDA Welsh Wheelchair Open 2025 Champion. A phenomenal achievement that once again cements Ricky’s position as one of the top contenders in the sport.
Since receiving his brand-new custom Target Darts setup, Ricky has been on an absolute tear. Out of eight tournaments entered, he’s reached the final in every single one, securing victory in five of them. A testament to his talent, consistency, and the impact of the equipment partnership with Target.
Saturday kicked off with the BDDA Welsh Wheelchair Classic, and Ricky came out firing on all cylinders. He went unbeaten in the group stages, showing clinical form and confidence. That flawless performance propelled him straight into the knockout rounds.
The semi-final match proved to be one of the toughest challenges of the day, as Ricky faced off against the formidable Gavin Hibbert. It was a tense, high-quality battle that went down to the wire, with Ricky holding his nerve to take the deciding leg and secure his place in the final.
In the final, Ricky went head-to-head with former World Number 1, Darren Kennish. Demonstrating total dominance, Ricky delivered a composed and ruthless performance, cruising to a 4–0 victory and claiming the Classic title in style.


Sunday brought a new challenge with the BDDA Welsh Wheelchair Open, and while Ricky had a slower start, finishing second in his group, he showed the resilience and determination that has become his trademark to make the knockout stages.
Once in the knockout stages, Ricky shifted into high gear. He dispatched Kev Stinger in the semi-final with a clean 3–0 win, setting up yet another showdown with Darren Kennish in the final—this time a rematch from the previous day.
The final proved to be a gripping encounter. Ricky stormed into an early 3–0 lead, putting on a masterclass in scoring and finishing, including a stunning 17-dart leg in the third. But Darren wasn’t done yet—he mounted a comeback, leveling the score at 3–3.
With the pressure at its peak, Ricky displayed nerves of steel. In the deciding leg, he composed himself, stuck to his game, and closed out the match with conviction, winning 4–3 and completing a sensational weekend double.
