One of darts' most exciting young talents has committed his future to Team Target, extending his contract and remaining as part of our pioneering Elite1 training and mentoring system.
Polish teenager Sebastian Bialecki has agreed to continue his development as part of the Target set-up, following significant personal success already in 2021. Sebastian made his debut at the UK Open this year, hitting a nine-darter in his very first game at a major PDC event.
At 17 years old, Sebastian is perhaps the most promising talent from the emerging darts nation of Poland. In only 10 events on last year's Development Tour, the teenager reached two semi-final - runs he had already matched in the BDO's World Youth Championship and World Masters Boys, where he was only beaten by the eventual champion (Target's young Irish sensation Keane Barry on both occasions).
"I am incredibly happy" said Sebastian; " Target Darts took a risk a few years ago and trusted in my sports development.
"They were not disappointed in me and I was not disappointed in them. So the decision to choose Target Darts for the next three years was not difficult."
The Elite1 training and mentoring program is a groundbreaking system from Target Darts that aims to help the most talented youngsters in darts achieve their potential.
It focuses not just on ensuring they have equipment tailored to their individual needs but providing professional guidance from some of the most successful players in the sport. Target is also committed to further expansion of Elite1 to give our young stars the very best grounding for a professional career in darts.
PDC World Youth Champion Bradley Brooks, Jarred Cole and Ireland's prodigiously talented star Keane Barry are all recent graduates from the Elite1 system, and you can read their thoughts on how it has helped their development here.
