Luke Littler Is the 2025 UK Open Champion!
World Champion Luke Littler won the 2025 UK Darts Open for the first time in a one-sided affair against James Wade in Minehead.
Luke Littler cruised to a comfortable 11-2 victory over three-time UK Open Champion James Wade.
James Wade knows what it takes to win the UK Open, having made the final on three separate occasions and winning them all back in 2008, 2011 and 2021.
And ‘The Machine’ looked like he was back to his best, knocking out world number one Luke Humphries earlier that day in a tightly contested quarterfinals and convincingly winning his semi-final affair against Josh Rock, however, Littler was a step too far for the 41-year-old.
Littler was exceptional throughout the tournament, but on Sunday, he was untouchable in parts, beating the dangerous Gian van Veen 4-10 in the quarters and comfortably beating Jonny Clayton 11-6 in the semi-finals.
The Warrington ace had the perfect start to the game, winning the opening nine legs in a row, destroying any chance Wade had in winning the final.
The 18-year-old averaged 101 and nine 180s in the final.

Wade was honest in his assessment of the game when he told ITV4, “He absolutely bashed me to bits, but what can you do against that?"
"He was the far superior player, as much as it kills me to admit it, but it is what it is. For me, it's a great step in the right direction.
"Fair play to Luke - at the moment, he's probably the best or the second-best darts player in the world."
