In last year edition of the Austrian Darts Open, Luke Littler defeated Joe 'Rockstar' Cullen and claimed the legendary green traditional jacket.

Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler won the first European Tour event of 2025. Nathan Aspinall & Stephen Bunting clinched their maiden European Tour titles in European Tour 2 and European Tour 3 respectively and Michael van Gerwen won the latest tournament, European Tour 4 and hit a nine-darter in the tournament.

Who has qualified for the Austrian Darts Open 2025?

In a change from the previous year, the top 16 on the two-year main PDC Order of Merit ranking will now be seeded and enter the tournament in the second round, while the 16 qualifiers from the one-year PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit ranking will enter in the first round. The seedings were confirmed on 27 March.

How do you qualify for the Austrian Darts Open?

With 48 darts players selected for the Grand Darts Grand Prix and they broke down by the following:

  • 16 places go to the top 16 of the PDC Order of Merit and enter in round 2.
  • 16 places go to the top 16 of the PDC ProTour Order of Merit (excluding players already qualified via the PDC Order of Merit).
  • 10 places go to the winners, the Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, in which up to 112 players compete.
  • 4 players from Host Nation Qualifiers. These qualifying tournaments are open to darts players from the country in which the European Tour event is taking place.
  • 1 place goes to the winner of the Nordic & Baltic Associate Member Qualifiers.
  • 1 place goes to the winner of the East European Associate Member Qualifiers.
