Katie Sheldon was born in Dublin, Ireland in 2003. After watching her dad play, she pestered for a dart board and at the age of 9 and that’s where her darting journey began. Katie already has years of experience under her belt, not only does she have caps for the Republic of Ireland Youth team where she has been runner-up twice in the under 18’s world cup singles but she has recently made her debut for the Senior team where she and the team made history in winning the WDF 6 Nations title for the first time and she will be in the 2022 Europe Cup team in October.
She has represented Ireland in the JDC World Cup alongside Target Elite 1 player Killian Heffernan and fellow Target pro player Keane Barry who she practices regularly.
Katie is a German Open Girls winner and a World Masters Girls winner and she’s not stopping there. She currently plays in local leagues, and the Irish ranking events and has 3 of these titles to her name in 2022, the PDC Development Tours and she has excelled in the PDC Women’s series in 2022. Katie is one of only 3 players to record an average over 95 in this. She has made 1 final and 3 semi-finals and has secured her place in the first ever PDC Women’s Matchplay by finishing in the top 8 at the cut-off point.
