Target’s flagship range explores the relationship between opposites to create a new vision in dart design.

The Elysian Eighth Edition is a continuation of exploration. The latest edition ventures into new concepts never previously experienced, featuring unrivalled precision and design. In our strive for excellence, the boundaries of the darts industry are once again pushed and challenged.
Each edition is limited to 200 steel tip & 200 soft tip worldwide.
Each barrel is formed from a 95% tungsten billet and undergoes 55 minutes of high precision CNC milling. Two sculptured grip areas that are completely unique to anything previously attempted are created offering an unique grip and feel.
The barrel is placed into a purpose made jig that masks specific areas. The barrel is then hand sandblasted creates different levels of texture. This creates a completely unique and random profile across the front of the dart mimicking the formation of oxidisation.

THEME
The Versus theme this year presented the opportunity to delve into graphic languages that highlighted the relationship of opposing forces.
Light vs dark. New vs old. Hot vs cold. Life vs death.
The wealth of visual material alongside interesting scientific examples provided us with a huge library of inspiration.
PACKAGING CONCEPT
The Elysian experience begins with the unboxing. We want to build intrigue and excitement and start telling the story of what lies within.
Our box design is an amalgamation of ideas that emerged from our theme. The two sides of the design build a composition that works as a complete design, but can also be separated out into individual ideas. We’ve created something that is both composed and chaotic.

BARREL DESIGN
The journey of a barrel is born first from an idea. This starts as a design illustration and then moves across to 3D, from there onto a tool path then onto the milling machine.
There are many challenges within this process,
but the part where metal begins to be milled
is a thing of beauty.
To reach this final stage, the process has been scrutinised, 3D printed, refined and every small detail finely examined.
This is engineering at it’s best.
The birth of something special.
COLOUR
Inspired by the contrast of old vs new, the Elysian 8th edition embodies some experimental coating techniques.
The front of the barrel features a PVD Silica coating that is placed in a masking rig and hand sandblasted. The result is a patchwork of texture that replicates the natural element of rust.
This is contrasted by a chrome PVD coating on the rear. This perfectly highlights the inspiration from the Versus theme. The coating is extended to the shaft and point to maximise the impact.

SWISS STORM POINT
The Elysian Eighth Edition features Target’s exclusive new Swiss Storm Point. Utilising the Swiss patented locking system, the Swiss Storm Point marries the functional prowess of Swiss Point with the aesthetic beauty of Storm point.
8 FLIGHT
For the first time, this years Elysian features the 8 Flight system.
A stunning, simple branded exclusive 8 Flight is screwed onto a titanium PDV coated shaft, also a design that is exclusive to the Elysian. This all in one system is another revolutionary design brought into the Elysian family.
