SOUTHPORT YOUTH DARTS ACADEMY
Southport Youth Darts Academy joined Target Darts Elite 1 programme in January 2025. This affiliation will help the local community to foster the interest of their youth in the great sport of darts, providing a safe space and sporting outlet for aspiring young darts players.
Southport members are grouped based on their progress and skill levels, starting with green zone finishes and advancing to doubles and closest-to-the-bull finishes as they improve.
One of the academy’s standout features is its personalised coaching. Each group is assigned a dedicated coach who tailors weekly activities to suit the group’s needs, ensuring consistent growth and enjoyment.

Since the academy has started, we have 6 youth playing for our local teams and several players in the JDC Foundation Tour with a few more that could join them."

Their approach focuses on hands-on learning, with kids managing their boards and fixtures, encouraging communication and teamwork. This structure helps young players build relationships, friendships, and essential leadership skills.
