When and where is the 2025 WDF World Championship Taking place?
The 2025 WDF World Darts Championship is an upcoming darts tournament that will be held from 28 November to 7 December 2025 at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey, England. It is the fourth World Darts Championship to be organised by the World Darts Federation since it succeeded the now-defunct British Darts Organisation.
How to watch the 2025 WDF World Championship?
Fans around the world can catch all the action from the 2025 WDF World Darts Championship thanks to a new broadcasting partnership with S4C. The tournament kicks off on Friday, November 28th, live from the iconic Lakeside Country Club.
S4C will cover eight sessions of the event, streaming live on YouTube and broadcasting key matches on terrestrial TV. Online coverage begins with the evening session on Wednesday, December 3rd, continuing through to Friday, December 5th. Viewers in the UK can tune in on S4C’s main TV channel for Quarter-Final Friday, Semi-Final Saturday, and Finals Day on Sunday, with uninterrupted live coverage of the biggest moments of the tournament.

How do you qualify for the 2025 WDF World Championship?
The road to the 2025 WDF Lakeside World Championships is now open, giving players from around the world a clear route to one of darts’ most prestigious tournaments. Both senior and youth players have separate qualification systems that reward consistency, performance and dedication throughout the 2025 WDF season.
Seniors Qualification
The Men’s (Open) Championship will feature 48 players, while the Women’s Championship will include 24 players. The qualification process recognises success across WDF ranking tables, regional tours and open qualifying events.
For Men (Open):
The top 16 players from the WDF World Championship Race Table at the end of the 2025 season will automatically qualify.
Winners of all Platinum and Gold ranked tournaments during the 2025 season will also secure their places.
The two highest ranked players from each of the WDF’s nine regional tables – including Asia, Australia, North Europe, UK and Ireland, USA and others – will be invited to compete.
Four players will qualify through the Open World Championship Play-Off, held on Sunday 2 November.
The remaining places will be filled by the next highest ranked players on the WDF Race Table to bring the total field to 48.
For Women:
The top eight players from the WDF Race Table will automatically qualify.
Winners of Platinum and Gold ranked tournaments will gain direct invitations.
The highest ranked player from each of the ten WDF regional tables will also qualify.
Two additional players will earn their place through the Women’s World Championship Play-Off, with the date and venue to be confirmed.
Any remaining positions will be filled using the WDF Race Table to reach a total of 24 players.
At the end of the 2025 season, the top 16 men and top eight women will be seeded for Lakeside, and the official draw will take place once the season concludes.
Youth Qualification
The 2025 WDF Lakeside Youth World Championships give young players a chance to showcase their skills on the world stage. Two youth tournaments will take place: the Boys (Open) Championship featuring eight players, and the Girls Championship featuring four players.
For Boys (Open):
The top four players from the WDF Youth Race Table will qualify automatically.
A further four players will qualify through the Open Youth Play-Off, scheduled for Sunday 2 November.
For Girls:
The top two players from the WDF Youth Race Table will qualify directly.
Two more players will earn their place through the Girls’ Play-Off, with the date and venue to be confirmed.
All youth players must be under the age of 18 on 31 December 2024 to be eligible to compete. The highest ranked players at the end of the season will be seeded for the Lakeside Youth Championships.
