Target's Elite 1 operates a highly successful programme with a history of producing players that progress to our senior team. Graduates have so far included the likes of Keane Barry, John Brown, Lewy Williams and Jarred Cole.

Our Head of Youth Development, Lorraine Winstanley, aims to identify and recruit talented players from around the world and we are delighted to introduce Jenson Walker to our team of determined rising stars. Lorraine said of the latest signing: "Jenson is an exciting addition to Elite1. He is gaining experience all the time playing not only the JDC advanced tour but travelling to local tournaments and getting great results in senior events."

Jenson picked up the sport just 2 years ago as something to do during lockdown. Although by his own admission, not a natural, he has proven that hard work and practice pays off. In a short space of time, Jenson has captained England's B team in the JDC World cup, made it to the JDC Development Tour final, the last 16 of the JDC International Open in addition to the World Cup Quarter Finals.

The 15-year-old darting hero's not only include the 16 times world champion Phil Taylor, but he is also inspired by fellow Elite 1 team mates, Leighton Bennett and Luke Littler, who he hopes to follow in the same footsteps.

When asked how it feels to be signing for the Elite 1, Jenson told us "Target is a place that takes good players and supports them in the journey to becoming great players" and on advising young players starting out in the sport "Put the time in but make sure you enjoy you enjoy what you are doing."

Welcome to the Elite 1 team Jenson, we look forward to working with you!
