The World Seniors Darts Championship is just 9 days away as we look forward to 4 days of darting action between some of the most iconic names in the sport, one of those being Team Target's legendary Paul Lim.

Paul has competed at 26 World Championships in his career and he will make his return to the Circus Tavern once more in a bid to claim the first World Championship title of his career, he said "This is the first time anything like this has been done, I have always wondered why there has never been an event like this, I am more excited about this than I was for the PDC World Championship!"

Paul made his mark on the darting world after producing one of the most memorable moments at any World Championship when he threw the first ever 9-darter at the competition in 1990, back when dartboard wires were thicker and darts were a lot larger making it an incredibly difficult achievement at the time. 'The Legend' will be looking to replicate his record once again and said "It is one of my greatest achievements, it makes me so proud knowing that I am the only person who can say they threw the first 9 darter at a World Championship, it would mean a lot to throw another one and be able to say I threw the first one at the World Seniors Darts Championship."

Paul will face off against qualifier Dave Prins in round 1 on the Friday afternoon session with a potential round 2 clash against 3x world champion John Lowe on the cards. Paul has battled it out against the majority of the field multiple times throughout his career and will not fear any of his opponents "I honestly cannot pinpoint any player who I would or wouldn't like to play as I am so familiar with them all and I know how great they all can be."

This will be 'The Singapore Slingers' 7th appearance at the Circus Tavern, a place where Paul made his PDC World Championship debut back in 1997, when speaking about the venue Paul told us "There is a big difference between the Circus Tavern and Lakeside, it is a lot smaller and the fans are really on top of you - I am really looking forward to going back."

We cannot wait to see Paul relive his darting heyday once more, good luck Paul!
