We are delighted to present the latest addition to our Elite1 team, Joey Lynaugh.

The North American sensation will join the programme headed up by Lorraine Winstanley and lines up alongside a team of darts' brightest stars. When asked how it feels to be signing for the Elite 1 programme he told us "It feels absolutely amazing, I have always dreamed of joining a brand like Target and be a part of a team which is full of exceptional players as well as world champions."

Joey is one of North Americas most promising talents and finished 22nd on the CDC senior points standings last year which is a brilliant accomplishment at just 20 years of age, he said that "being ranked just outside the top 20 is a great considering it was my first year in the CDC, however, my next goal is to break into the top 16 so I can compete in the Continental Cup." The New Yorker doesn't fear any of the big names and recently defeated ex PDC star Darin Young in the Seacoast Men's Open which is a just a snippet of what this young man is capable of.

His aim is to eventually compete on the PDC pro circuit although he currently is in no rush to get there "I want to have at least another year on the CDC circuit to gain some more experience and hopefully give Q-School a crack in 2023 or 2024. It would mean the world to me to play darts professionally, I look up to all of the pro players and dream of being in their shoes one day."

Target's Managing Director James Tattersall said "We are really excited to bring Joey on board, North American darts is on the rise and we have already seen players such as Danny Baggish & Danny Lauby make the jump to the PDC and we think Joey is more than capable of adding to that list."

Welcome to the team Joey!
