Longridge Youth Darts Academy Joins Target's Elite 1!

We are proud to welcome Longridge Youth Darts Academy to the Target Darts family, as we continue our commitment to supporting grassroots darts and developing the next generation of talent.

Based at Wilfrid’s Club in Longridge, Preston, the academy has been making a strong impact since its launch in January 2023. Led by Charlot Podmore-Nappin, the academy has grown rapidly, now supporting 35 young players aged 6–17 in a structured, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Meeting every Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm, Longridge Youth Darts Academy provides a well-rounded development programme. Sessions focus on match practice, board management, mental headspace, darts etiquette, and refining throwing techniques and body positioning, ensuring each player builds both skill and confidence.

What truly sets the academy apart is its strong community spirit. With support from a wider network, the academy creates a welcoming space where young players can develop a sense of belonging while enjoying the game. This positive environment has been key to its growth, expanding from just 10 members at launch to a thriving and ever-growing group today.
