Game Shot Darts Academy Joins Target's Elite 1!

We are exicted to officially welcome Game Shot Darts Academy to the Target Darts Elite 1 Affiliated Academy Programme—a major step forward for one of the most promising youth darts academies in the UK.

Based in Tipton, Game Shot Darts Academy has quickly established itself as a hub for nurturing young talent, with over 40 dedicated junior members aged between 5 and 18. The academy not only teaches the fundamentals of the traditional 501 game but also places a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive enjoyment. With a wide variety of innovative training games, players develop both technical skill and personal confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

Game Shot Darts Academy operates a progressive, three-level development structure:

• Mini boards are designed specifically for under-12 players to build early confidence and technique.
• Full-height, full-length boards for older and more advanced players.
• An Order of Merit system, refreshed every eight weeks through weekly knockout tournaments, creating consistent competitive opportunities and goal-setting for all members.

The academy is led by a passionate and experienced coaching team, supported by two academy ambassadors—Reece Colley and Dan Nicholls—both of whom have competed in the prestigious Modus Super Series. Their involvement offers young players inspiration and insight into the professional side of the sport.

Game Shot Darts Academy is also committed to building a strong regional darts community. It is proudly linked with two neighbouring academies, hosting regular tri-series events that blend training routines with inter-academy competitions. These sessions expose players to fresh challenges and broaden their competitive experience.
