DATE: AUG 6TH 2019

BROADCAST DATE: 29TH /30TH AUG 20.00 - 21.00

The annual event which brings together top stars from the world of sport to raise funds for charity is being held on August 6th 2019.

The event, organised by JBD Sports Agents, has been held since 2013 and has featured some of the most recognisable sporting names in the country and continues to grow in stature since its humble beginnings 6 years ago. The charity event - raising vital funding for Parkinsons UK will be broadcast on ITV4 over two evenings (29th and 30th August) as well as being broadcast internationally in 32 other countries. There will also be live social media coverage across all Target Darts social media platforms, including exclusive interviews and challenges with the competitors and behind the scenes access.

Jess Harding director of JBD Events Ltd who hosts the event said, "Without a doubt this is the most enjoyable event we stage throughout the year. To see sportsman and woman compete in a competition which they are not ordinarily associated with is fantastic. Coupled with the fact we will be raising considerable funds for Parkinson's makes the day even more special. I would like to thank Target and all our associate sponsors for their help. Without them the Championship would not be possible."

This year, Target Darts are to be title sponsors of the Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship, which will see 32 competitors divided into teams of 4 to compete for not only the individual title, but the prestigious team champions' trophy.

Managing Director of Target Darts - Garry Plummer explained, "There is something amazing about seeing top names from across the world of sport come together to raise awareness and funds for an incredible cause. We have wanted to get involved in the fishing championship for a while, and whilst we have always done what we can to help the cause, we now have the chance to make a real and meaningful difference."
