Target's Nathan Aspinall is level on points at the top of the Premier League with world number one Michael van Gerwen, after winning the all-Target clash with Glen Durrant in Dublin.
A closely-fought encounter kicked-off the Week Four action at the 3Arena, with league leader "Duzza" taking a 3-1 lead against a sluggish Aspinall.
However, "The Asp" hit back to level at 3-3, and the pair traded legs until it reached 5-5.
Aspinall had never beaten Durrant in competitive action before, but a crucial double-seven earned him a break of throw, and a fabulous 12 darter sealed a 7-5 win to move top of the league.
"I never play well against Glen, and it wasn't pretty, but I got the job done" admitted Nathan.
"Over the last 12 months I've been playing brilliantly and getting beaten, so I think I deserved that bit of luck tonight.
"I had two really good legs at the end when it mattered; I'm not happy with my performance, and as it stands I'm top of the league."
Aspinall was displaced in the top spot later in the night on leg difference by Van Gerwen.
Meanwhile, Target's Rob Cross put in another battling display only to lose out on earning a draw in the 12th and final leg for the second successive week.
Last year's finalist "Voltage" had a shot at 124 to snatch a draw with Gary Anderson, but could not complete the checkout to earn a fourth point of the season.
The Premier League continues next week in Exeter, where Cross faces Daryl Gurney, Durrant takes on Gerwyn Price, and Aspinall looks to go clear at the top of the table when he faces World Champion Peter Wright.
This weekend sees the start of the European Tour, with the Belgian Darts Championship, as all three of Target's Premier League stars compete in Hasselt - with live coverage on PDC TV and various bookmakers' websites.
