The weekend just gone saw the conclusion of the 2021 Challenge Tour as players made their final pushes for the all-important top spot which secures them a PDC Tour Card as well as a place at this year's PDC World Darts Championship.
6 Team Target and 4 Elite 1 stars competed across the UK & European events including Team Target's newest member Kevin Doets who was sitting in a promising position before his final run of games.
Sebastian made his 'dreams come true' as the young Polish prodigy picked up his first PDC Title by winning event 10 in Niedernhausen. The 17-year-old threw some immense darts from the get-go as he whitewashed Tom Veje Kristensen in round 1 as well as thrashing Patrick Plotz 5-1 in round 2 with an average of 101.58. Sebastian faced Team Target's new signing Kevin Doets in the final in a match that boiled down to a last leg decider where Bialecki nailed a 70 checkout to ensure his victory.
Target's summer signing Kevin Doets had a lot to do this weekend to finish top in the Order of Merit table and going into the final run of events sitting in 5th place definitely presented the young Dutchman an opportunity to do so. Kevin was extremely unlucky not to progress on from his impressive start to the tour as he narrowly missed out on a title win to Sebastian Bialecki on event 10 as well as having 2 consecutive quarter final runs in the final 2 days.
North American star Danny Lauby came to life in event 9 of the UK Tour as he had a superb run to the final where he marginally lost out to Reece Robinson in a last leg decider. The American star who made his PDC debut last year showcased some incredible talent across the day including a 100+ average in his win against Scott Williams 5-1 in the final 32.
