May has been a month of energy, growth, and remarkable success across our Elite 1 players and Target Academies. From commanding wins in top-tier competitions to personal milestones that reflect grit and progress, our athletes have truly raised the bar. Here's a roundup of the standout moments and inspiring achievements that made this month unforgettable.
Elite 1 Highlights
May was a month of success and progress for our Elite 1 players. Here’s a look at some of the standouts:
James Beeton won the WDF Denmark Open which is a gold event, therefore giving him the golden ticket to the WDF World Championships. He reached the quarter final of the PDC Development tour 13.
Archie Mcleod represented Lancaster Uni in the Roses 2025 and were crowned champions.
Nathan Girvan reached the semi-finals of the PDC Challenge tour 15.
Sophie McKinlay won the SDA Ladies tour 5. She was part of the triples team who won in the Stirling Ladies League.
Mitchell Lawrie won the SDA Men’s tour 5. He won the Open tournament at Moray Darts Academy, picking up furthest youth and highest finish. He also won the JDC Scotland Gibraltar qualifiers 13 & 14. Mitchell reached the final of the JDC Advanced Tour 14 and he won Tour 16. Mitchell reached the final of the SDA Top Flight competition, and he won the SDA Grand Prix Boys 4 event.
Kaya Baysal and partner reached the final of the men’s pairs at the WDF Denmark Open, he also reached the semi-final of the boy’s competition. Kaya won ADC Vaults at Rogues Bar in Bolton, Burnley and Stockport. Kaya reached the semi-final of the England Grand Prix 1 boys event.
Joseph Westby won 2 ADCs Vault held at Rogues Bar, and he won the Blackburn Academy challenge tour 4. He reached the semi-final of the JDC Advanced Tour 14.
Owen Bryceland reached the final of the JDC Scotland Gibraltar qualifier 13, losing out to Mitchell. He went on to win qualifier 15 beating Mitchell in the final. Owen won the SDA Top Flight competition beating Mitchell in the final.
Eleanor Cairns won the WADC event 5.
Jenson Walker reached the final of the PDC Development tour 15.
Jayden Walker reached the semi-final of the JDC Advanced tours 13 and 15.
Arthur Allston retained the Manningtree and District Darts League men’s singles title for the 3rd year running! For the league he also picked up the most 180’s trophy, was part of the league winning team and he won the mixed pairs partnering his mum Sally. He also won the Milestone Tendring Open qualifier. Arthur made it out of the group stages at the WDF England Grand Prix 1 boys event but lost in the last 16.
Paige Pauling won the JDC Girls series 7. She also won the WDF England Grand Prix 1 Girls event.
Mason Teese won the WDF England Grand Prix 1 Boys event.
Oliver Haughan made it out of the group stages at the WDF England Grand Prix 1 boys event but lost in the last 16.


Pathway Players' Progress
Our Pathway players have been making great strides in their development, and May 2025 was no different. Here's what they’ve been up to:
Ben Proudfoot won the Evolution U16’s competition. He also won the youth competition at Bacton. He won a JDC vault at the Windmill pub. He also won the double start 301 competition at Darts Coaching in Newmarket Academy.
Rhys Mason won the first JDC vault held at 25 Bulls.
Jenson Macey reached the semi-final of the JDC Foundation tour 13 and the final of tour 14. He also reached the semi-final of a youth competition in Winchester.
Mattie Ambage reached the semi-final of the JDC Foundation tour 16. He also won this seasons Platinum group at St Helens Darts Academy.
Elijah Bale reached the final of the FA cup at the Rogues bar without taking the handicap option. He also won Division 2 which included adults. Elijah won the Tonge Moor Darts competition. He made it through the group stages at the WDF England Grand Prix 1 boys event but lost in the last 16.
Eoin Roche won the Youth School Ireland youth tour 4.
Owen Howard won the Tendring Open Darts Championship House qualifier – night 8.
Academy News
We have announced three new academies this month, with Taibach Academy, Pendle Academy & Games Shot Academy all joining the Elite 1 family.
Lorraine Winstanly head of Elite 1 has also been down to visit Stockport Junior Darts Academy & Pendle Darts Academy.
All affiliated academies have been updated with a MOD system, Virt camera and Omni Auto Scoring System.
