2009 PDJ CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT
The 2009 PDJ Challenge Tournament was held at the Pan Pacific hotel in Yokohama, Japan in October.
Eight of Japan’s finest players from the East and West Japanese qualifying tournaments competed for the PDC Ladbrokes.com World Championship wild card.
Russ ‘The Voice’ Bray called, and among the audience were Mat Porter, CEO of the PDC, and Garry Plummer, President of the PDJ.
‘The PDJ was formed only in March this year to promote steel tip darts in Japan’ said Mr. Plummer. ‘To have put on Japan’s biggest and best qualifying tournament ever, in it’s first year is a fantastic achievement – I am very proud’.
The winner, Mr. Aruki Muramatsu will now represent Japan at the 2010 Ladrokes.com World Darts Championship.
